Art of self-sabotage.
Self-destruction is like having a personal cheerleader for all the worst choices. Youβre sitting there, feeling fine, when suddenly your brain pipes up, βHey, remember that embarrassing thing you did in high school? Letβs relive that!β Itβs as if weβre auditioning for a reality show titled βHow to Sabotage Your Own Happiness.β
Or itβs hilarious how we handle compliments. When someone says, βI love your outfit,β the response is often, βOh, this old thing?β Itβs like weβre all on a mission to downplay our awesomeness! Instead of just saying thank you, we dive into excuses,βI threw this on because I was late!β Why is accepting a compliment harder than running a marathon?
Then thereβs the delightful ritual of procrastination. You tell yourself youβll start that important project tomorrow, but somehow, βtomorrowβ becomes a Netflix marathon that lasts a week. Itβs like watching a slow-motion train wreck, and youβre the conductor, shouting, βFull steam ahead into chaos!β The reason that I could describe it too keen is that I've become one of the conductors in the train wreck..Gotta PPT to prepare, have to stop my train from the wreck. Bye.
